What we collect
Only what you type into our forms:
- The letters list (Receive N° 01): your email address, your name if you give it, and whether you are in the trade.
- Trade applications: your name, practice, role, city, email address, phone number if you give it, website or Instagram, and any projects you tell us about.
- Open Call introductions: your name, studio, role, discipline, city, email address, portfolio link and message.
- Manufacturer introductions: your company or workshop, your name, email address, phone number if you give it, city, the materials you work in, team size, website or Instagram, and what you tell us about your work.
- Messages sent through “Contact us”: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
We do not ask for payment details, and nothing is sold on this site.
Why we use it
- To send the Bastion Living letters you asked for: four a year, when an issue is published.
- To consider a trade application, verify the practice, and contact you about the trade programme.
- To read an Open Call introduction and reply to you about a possible collaboration.
- To consider a manufacturer or workshop for making the house’s pieces, and contact you about it.
- To answer a message you send us.
We do not use your details for anything else, and we never sell them.
Your consent
Each form asks for your consent before anything is sent. You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the unsubscribe link in any letter, or write to us. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before you withdrew.
How long we keep it
- Letters list: until you unsubscribe.
- Trade applications, Open Call and manufacturer introductions, and messages: up to two years after our last exchange, unless we begin working together, in which case our agreement sets the terms.
After that, we delete it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. A small number of service providers help us run this site and send email: our website host, our form service and our email service. They process your data only on our instructions and only to provide that service. Some may store data outside India; where they do, we choose providers that protect it to the standard this notice describes. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to erase it once it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for;
